Role: Surfacing Lead, Texturing, Shading
Since I was a kid I love playing video games, especially when they are set up in fantasy world. More than 20 year ago I meet Diablo 2 and dived into it deeply, spending hours in that environment, using my old modem to connect to battlenet via phone line. Good old times and I bet most of you know Diablo game from ages.
When I was joining Axis at the beginning of this year I just jumped in in the middle of this project, helping Carl Forsberg who was leading Character Team, with surfacing approach. I was responsible mosty for creating old version of Marius Haggard which I am presenting here, but also for Guard character shading and many other shading changes and approaches, including mostly skin shading, and sharing with the team surfacing feedback. The feeling working with so passionate and experienced people was amazing. I would like to thank Amy Ash for a trust which I got since my first day here. You are growing really fast in such great environment which is trusting and respecting you.
Please seek for full credits, cinematics are made by dozens of people and everyone work is crucial here. It haven’t been possible without whole team collaboration and their amazing skills and knowledge! congrats once again!
